M.A.C.C began its activities in managing all the family construction projects which were undertaken during the war period until 1992. In that year, the internal peace prevailed in Lebanon, and the reconstruction process began to take serious scope. At that time, Cheikh Walid felt the need to restructure his business, and to reallocate to each construction a specific legal entity in order to organize all the group activities, each in its administrative frame.

Very serious and comprehensive legal and structural studies were launched with the assistance of the best consulting firm in the field. This process took two whole years in studies and implementations, and the group was supplied with the most qualified personnel and softwares. From that point, the group began to emerge, and the first step was in constituting a special entity for the equipment and excavation activities called “M.G.E” (Mouawad Group for Equipment). The second step was the concrete batching plant and all its accessories, such as truck mixers, pump trucks and the batching plant itself which were gathered under the entity of “M.S.C” (Mouawad Solid Concrete). Finally, the construction activity was dedicated to the new instituted entity of “M.A.C.C.L” (Mouawad Association for contracting & construction) to which all the Know-how and the qualified personnel were transferred from the old well experienced M.A.C.C.

In the early 1990’s, Ch. Walid Mouawad founded a development company “Todeco” (Touristic development company) for the development of a mountain resort in “Faqra” “Keserwan.

The latest achievement in Lebanon was the impressive opening of the high standard jewelry boutique in “KasliK”, “ROBERGE”, in partnership with his brother Mr. Robert Mouawad one of the world leaders in the jewelry business.
